Oh dear! I think I may have stepped into too many super-affilliate networks at the same time! Linkshare, Commission Junction, Amazon, Google, Clickbank...
The problem becomes evident when I decide to get serious about putting affilliate links into my Blogroll code. Writing about 1001 streams of income makes it almost impossible not to run into obvious comparisons between one firm and another...and this is bad for market competition!
Even worse, what happens when the next hotshot blogger decides to take me up on the offer of a free marketing education? Can I put it all in one book, regardless of the price, to say nothing of the slash job I will have to do in editing?
Well, let's just suppose that this is a straw-man for the moment, an artificial problem. You see, I have created a situation in which the TIME I use on the site can either decrease, or else it will vastly leverage other people's money, just based on what is already here!
BUT....any provider who is unhappy with what I have done actually SAVES a large amount of time and money by TEACHING ME how to correct the I-T errors, rather than taking the time and effort (and the resulting publicity hit) of suing me.
I need to clarify why I am re-emphasizing this point:
The fact is that I DON'T CARE how this experiment turns out, whether "good" or "bad." The only catastrophic outcome would be something where a court order was used to BAN me from the Net altogether!
So...while I am still busy generating my list of 1001 Company Decision Makers, the LACK of contacts has ALSO been working in my favor!
Why? Because without them, no one will be able to say that I am "unfairly" tying up a sufficiently LARGE amount of Other People's Money to be legally interesting! :-)))
Meanwhile, as I said, my primary business is also SELLING MENTORS...which means that by the time this comes to question, a lot of the marketing experts I am ALREADY affiliated with will be falling all over themselves to provide the help I need...to do otherwise is to compromise their reputations as teachers.
(Yes, I am arguing my case beforehand...and so far, this is still my bully-pulpit to do it with.)
Meanwhile, the countdown to money continues...
Success,
Wolfspyder
